Outsunny 7.1FT Solar Heated Outdoor Shower 9.2 Gal with Rotating Head

Description

Product Overview

The Outsunny 7.1FT Solar Heated Outdoor Shower is engineered for durability and performance in a compact, freestanding design. Constructed from high‑impact, UV‑resistant ABS plastic, the tank and frame resist cracking, fading, and corrosion even after prolonged exposure to sunlight and harsh weather. The 9.2‑gallon (approximately 35 liters) water reservoir is insulated to retain heat, allowing the solar‑powered heating element to raise water temperature up to 131°F (55°C) on sunny days. A built‑in rubber gasket seals the tank, preventing leaks and ensuring consistent water flow.

Dimensions of 6.9″ L × 5.7″ W × 85″ H provide a tall, comfortable shower height for adults while remaining compact enough to fit in most backyard spaces. The unit weighs roughly 20 lb, making it portable yet stable when anchored with the four supplied screws. The free‑rotating 360° shower head offers full coverage, and the additional foot‑sprayer nozzle is perfect for rinsing shoes, pets, or hard‑to‑reach areas. A side tray, integrated into the frame, holds soaps, shampoos, and other accessories within easy reach, reducing the need for extra storage solutions.

Every component is designed for simple assembly: the tank slots into the frame, the shower head attaches with a quick‑release twist, and the anchoring screws secure the base to concrete, stone, or packed earth. The product comes with a concise instruction manual that guides users through the step‑by‑step setup, ensuring a hassle‑free installation experience. With a customer rating of 4.1 stars from 16 reviews, the Outsunny shower has proven its reliability and user satisfaction in real‑world applications.

Usage

Designed for versatile outdoor environments, the Outsunny solar shower excels in a variety of settings. At the poolside, it offers a quick rinse after swimming, helping to remove chlorine and sand before stepping back into the house. Beachgoers can set up the shower on the sand or a nearby deck, using the solar heating capability to enjoy a warm wash even after a day in the sun. Gardeners and DIY enthusiasts appreciate the foot‑sprayer for cleaning tools, boots, and small equipment without the need for a separate hose.

Because the unit operates entirely on solar energy, it is an eco‑friendly alternative to electric or propane‑powered showers. On cloudy days, the water may be cooler, but the system still provides a refreshing flow for rinsing off dust or sweat. The rotating head can be angled upward for a full‑body cascade or downward for a gentle mist, adapting to personal comfort preferences. Families with children find the foot‑sprayer especially useful for washing small pets or teaching kids about water conservation.

Installation is straightforward: select a flat, sun‑exposed location, secure the base with the provided screws, and fill the tank with water. Within a few hours of direct sunlight, the water reaches optimal temperature. The side tray keeps all bathing essentials organized, eliminating the need for additional tables or containers. Whether used after a swim, a beach outing, a camping trip, or a backyard barbecue, the Outsunny shower delivers a reliable, warm rinse that enhances comfort and hygiene.

FAQ

How long does it take for the water to heat up?

The heating time depends on sunlight intensity and ambient temperature. In direct midday sun, the 9.2 gallon tank typically reaches its maximum temperature of 131°F within 3–4 hours. On cooler or overcast days, heating may take longer, but the water will still be comfortably warm for a rinse.

Can I use the shower without sunlight?

Yes, the shower can be used without solar heating; the water will be at ambient temperature. The system does not require electricity or propane, so it remains functional in any weather, though the water will not be heated.

Is the unit safe for children?

The shower is designed with safety in mind. The ABS plastic frame is sturdy and the anchoring screws prevent tipping. However, adult supervision is recommended for children, especially when adjusting the rotating head or using the foot sprayer to avoid accidental scalding if the water is hot.

How do I prevent leaks?

The included rubber gasket creates a watertight seal between the tank and the frame. Ensure the gasket is properly seated during assembly and check that the tank is fully inserted before securing the unit. Periodic inspection of the gasket for wear will help maintain leak‑free operation.

What maintenance is required?

Maintenance is minimal. After each use, drain any remaining water to prevent stagnation, rinse the tank with fresh water, and wipe down the exterior with a mild soap solution. Inspect the rubber gasket and anchoring screws regularly, tightening any loose connections and replacing the gasket if it shows signs of wear.
